Located in downtown Norfolk, the Willoughby-Baylor House offers a gracious view of a middle-class family's lifestyle in 18th century Virginia.
An example of Georgian and Federal architecture, the house was built in 1794 by Capt. William Willoughby after the Revolutionary War. It is furnished with 18th century pieces; its grounds include an 18th century style garden.
The Willoughby-Baylor House is one of three historic houses operated by the Chrysler Museum. The museum also operates the the nearby Moses Myers House and the Adam Thoroughgood House in Virginia Beach.
