Harpoon Larry’s is a good place for seafood lovers who want a decent meal but don’t want to pay a lot of money. Just don’t go expecting a fancy setting. The food is darn good, but it’s not the cleanest place to eat. Not filthy, mind you, just grimy from lots of wear and tear as a local hangout. The usual suspects are available at the oyster bar, and there’s a chalkboard full of fish selections seasonally available and market priced daily. Soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches and a bunch of dinner choices fill out the rest of the menu. The place can get a little loud and rowdy later in the evening. Parking is minimal, and you may have to wait a bit for a table, but it’s worth it. Economically priced food that’s consistently well prepared proves that Harpoon Larry’s knows how to keep reeling ‘em in.
