You gotta dig a neighborhood bar like this one. It’s a step or two above a dive, but completely avoids even a whiff of LoDo pretentiousness. Celebrating a big coming of age this past June 28, we just want to wish Bulldog Bar a happy birthday. The top itself is a throwback to lounges of the 50s—horseshoe-shaped, mirrors behind the bottles, delicate lighting. Rat Pack all the way. No food, but you can order it in from nearby places. Good shot specials. Pool tables in the second room and a tidy little stage for live music. And they open at 0700... which is useful information on those special 'Hangover Mondays'.
