Drinks: The bottled beers are near frozen, mix drinks are stiff and you name the 'tini' they've got it. Olive, cherry, lemon or lime-- you pick your embelishment. Not sure what to get? Tell your tender your favorite liquor and ask them to make something special for you. Drinks range from $7-$10, but don't worry, they're well worth it.
Decor: Inside through the double doors you'll find two plasma TV’s flanking the left wall and a projector screen commanding the right wall. To your right are steps down to the restaurant portion of Sevens. Considered the first floor, the restaurant is complete with several more flat screens, another projector, dining tables and a large bar grounded with dark granite lit by canopy spot lighting which dims after 9pm.
Back at the entrance (the second floor), if you can manage to hear above the ooh's and ahhh's of the patrons, is the sound of water falling...literally. Spanning the height of the interior wall is a water fall that's romantic and lends to the up scale ambiance of Sevens. The archway to the stairs both up and down is curved and chair railing breaks the textured wall from the non-textured Baked Clay colored paint.
The third floor, often reserved for private parties, is dressed both for eating and dancing. Tables line the right wall; mirrors and the dance floor are to the left. The DJ booth and bar are along the far wall. The roped off entrance is a nice touch too.
The 4th floor is all white. White walls, white benched seating along both side walls and see-through glass squares resembling ice cubes make up the DJ’s booth and bar. The glass cubes changes color sporadically and when paired with the lighting makes for a very high end look.
If you’re not already partied out take the quick trip to the fourth floor or the “Red Room”, whatever you want to call it. It's ultra-contemporary fashioned with hanging red pendant lights, red walls, red booth seating surround. The room wouldn’t be complete without a bar and more plasma TV’s.
Food: Not too posh, you can bar up and eat or grab a seat at a table and dine- the best of both worlds. The menue has a selection of finger foods for sports fans catching any of the games playing on the three TV’s ahead and salads, seafood and pasta-based dishes for Entrée. The stuff shells are stuffed with ricotta and served on marinara sauce and are elegantly dressed with thyme, a great contrast on your plate of beige, white and red. Likewise, the cheese sticks are hot, fresh and seasoned. So whether you choose an appetizer or an entrée, Head Chef Phil will definitely prepare it to satisfy you.
Crowd: Partiers include everyone from the business crowd sneaking in after work for a drink or to catch the start of game to the students of TCC (located a few blocks away) celebrating their latest A. The culture is diverse, the environment is dynamic, even the staff and management is reprasentative of the crowd. From 21 to 30-something, everyone at Sevens knows the atmosphere calls for a sophicated and well behaved crowd.
Sounds: If you make it out on a Saturday night come up to the third floor, DJ Manifesto will be spinning your favorite tracks. If you’re a House Music lover, feel free to make a request, he has an arsenal of House Music at his disposal. Another DJ, DJ Gataz on the fourth floor, spins vinyl all night. No CD mixing here, Gataz cuts and scratches tracks throughout the night seamlessly. Don't like the music? Have a seat in VIP and allow Sevens sound system to pick up the tracks from your ipod and play it around the room.
Dress Code: Dressed to impress. Some people come out in suite or dress jeans and blazer. You may feel under dressed if you wear sneakers, but be sure to not wear anything athletic, overly baggy or any headwear or you may be pleading at the door.
Whether you want to eat, drink, throw a private party or just party, Sevens is definitely all that in one!
