The carousel, a Virginia Historic Landmark, is one of only 180 antique carousels still in use in the United States.Built by the Tobaggan Co. in 1920, it was a featured attraction at the former Buckroe Beach Amusement Park for more than 60 years before it was moved to its downtown location next to the Virginia Air and Space Center in 1992.

- 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday. Winter hours start Oct.1. The carousel is closed from Dec. 15 through April 1.
