PICKS OF THE WEEK: THE KING OF KONG and ROCKET SCIENCE

Two of our critics' picks for the ten best films of 2007 arrive on DVD this week and here's hoping they enjoy wider exposure on home video than they did in theaters.

"The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters" is a highly entertaining documentary about an everyday guy who sets out to break the world record on arcade-style Donkey Kong. The DVD includes loads of bonus material including additional interviews not included in the film and footage from various film festival Q&As.

Unusual high school comedy "Rocket Science" is smarter and funnier than most teen movies, with strong performances and sharp character-driven writing. The multiple indie Spirit award nominee arrives on disc with a behind-the-scenes featurette and a music video, but deserved more in-depth special features.
