The massive, sparsely decorated barn opens onto an equally impressively sized outdoor deck overlooking the lake at the Power Plant. At ground level there are three giant rectangular bars, each with four-sided wraparound seating. On a split-level balcony, with ramp access, there's another bar with seating and a couple of TVs. An additional, upper-level bar is home to half a dozen pool tables, more TVs and video games. Throughout, primitive-style murals depict cowboys and native Americans, pioneers in wagons, and big-chested, female country singers.

Five sandwiches - a rib-eye hoagie, a burger, chicken, pulled pork and veggie - are joined by a steak, pork chop and rib platter for the main offerings. The Parrot Beach seafood addendum includes fish and chips, blackened salmon, shrimp, crab cakes and mahi mahi.

Typical ultra-caloric desserts, cheesecake and a fine chocolate cake ($4 each), completed our foray into the fantasy world of Saddle Ridge.
