Sadly the Coach House Tavern Has Closed

I grew up in the area, but moved away a long time ago. Every trip home, we hit the Tavern and treasured the atmosphere, warm staff, wonderful food, and ghost tales. Sadly, we found the building empty and shabby when we visited June 29, 2009, and we were told that the restaurant had closed almost six years ago. The Harrison family seems to be in distress, because the plantation is dirty and unpainted, the gift shop has very little stock, and the bathrooms were filthy. Very sad.
