Indian Fields Tavern is the place to go for meals based on Virginia's best foods. This remote farmhouse-turned-first-class-dining-establishment features a new menu that focuses more on regional Virginia dishes made with fresh seasonal ingredients. Crabcakes Harrison - two cakes served on Smithfield ham and Sally Lunn croutons with Hollandaise sauce and Steak Lyons Den, which are pepper-crusted tenderloin medallions in a Merlot and Stilton sauce are two favorites. A Surry sausage appetizer, crab-based soup and Sally Lunn bread round out a meal. The tavern has an extensive wine list, and desserts are made right there.
