Definitely a must for an enjoyable night downtown. Chef Phillip Craig Thomason offers a simple, yet elegant menu with clever presentations. The restaurant features many Virginia products including wines from such diverse cellars as Thomas Jefferson's and Dave Matthews'. (Note the Charlottesville emphasis). The shrimp with grits was absolutely superb as were the crab cakes and the "pig picking'."
You can't go wrong with the spicy Caesar salad as a warm up to your entree.
Finish off your evening with Chef Thomason's teriffic bread pudding, creme brule, or a nice rich chocolate parfait. The large cup of coffee will get you home with a smile on your face.

I had a large party of 25. They did a fantastic job! The food was great and the service was top notch.
