This is by far, the BEST and MOST authentic German Restaurant I have ever been in since living in Germany. The Osgoods are simply the best, Kevin has a heart of gold, and runs a fantastic place. I have since moved from Old Towne to Fredericksburg, and truly miss my Black and Tans.....and my Bitburger Pils.....this place ROCKS.

Had a late lunch at the Biergarten just over a week ago. There were a lot of people downtown (a bit of a Christmas fest), so the restaurant was busy and the service was slow. On other occasions, service has not been particularly attentive. However, once it arrived, the lunch was delicious. I had a chicken cordon bleu sandwich and it was large and delicious. My wife was pleased with her reuben. I suppose if one is in a hurry, a good choice is a fast food restaurant. The Biergarten is not the best German Restaurant in which I have eaten, but generally I have found it quite satisfactory.

This is one of the worst German Restaurants I have eaten at. The food was old out of a jar or left over. The gravy over my meal was out of the refrigerator and not even hot. We were told the sauce on my wife's meal was a dark mushroom gravy but turned out to be the same cold gravy that was on my meal.
