Here's some places I like to go to grab dinner with the wife & kid.

    442 Granby St. - Norfolk (Downtown Norfolk)

    Cool tapas restaurant on Granby. Almost always go here before any event I have attended at the Scope or near Waterside. Haven't had anything that wasn't very tasty.

    OK, while it may not be the best BBQ ever, it is pretty sweet. Just about anytime I am in Williamsburg around lunch time, I head here.

    Philly Style Steaks & Subs - 5

    A fav for the cheese steaks. No, I don't think they use cheese whiz like in Philly, but they are pretty good. I believe they still have some sort of Monday deal where you can get a full sub for the price of a half. Good stuff.

    OK, this place is just plain convenient and I like the family-friendly environment. The TVs on sports keeps my son busy as well. Decent pub food but nothing really spectacular.

    Great place to get cheap breakfast anytime before 3pm just off Mercury. Try the combo breakfast - less than $6 and about 4 plates of food. Nice.

    Probably my favorite Italian place in the area. Very good food, great service, very tasty foccacia bread.
